When in doubt, leave the default installation and we usually tell customers to do the default installation, however you can follow these guidelines as well. In a design/development/creator environment, from the SQL Server modules shown, it is required that you always leave the highest SQL Server version checked as it is the version that your installed SSDT version is built against. The remaining SQL Server modules are optional depending on the SQL Server versions you are targeting (TargetServerVersion). In a production install, you will only see the version associated with the version of SQL Server installed on the production machine and it shall remain checked.
