* For Visual Studio 2022, you should use the suggested version of SQL Server Integration Services Projects extension on our chart above. SQL Server 2016 TargetServerVersion was introduced only by Microsoft in version 1.20 of SQL Server Integration Services Projects extension. SQL Server 2016 TargetServerVersion was introduced in COZYROC version 2.2.1.3550. Currently,1.3.2 SSDT Addon has been verified to work fine with Visual Studio 2022 version 17.8.6 (it's recommended not to use older versions. due to some instability issues, e.g. in v17.5.5 ). The SQL Server Integration Services Project extension 1.6.2 doesn't work with COZYROC Package Connection Manager.
Note:
Before installing
SSDT for Visual Studio 2017 (15.9.1)
, uninstall Analysis Services Projects and Reporting Services Projects extensions if they are already installed, and close all VS instances. All release notes related to SSDT for SQL Server 2017 can be found at this

.
Whenever you upgrade your version of the COZYROC SSIS+ Suite or SQL Server, check the compatibility charts before installing the new version. It is also recommended that you install the compatible version of SSDT and Visual Studio before installing the new version of the COZYROC SSIS+ Suite. Be sure to uninstall the old version prior to installing the newer version.
Note:
if you are performing an upgrade on an existing server, there is no need to reset your license record. However, if the versions of the existing installed components have changed (e.g., SQL Server), you will need to reset your License record. You will find step-by-step instructions describing how to reset your License record on the
Licensing page
.
Likewise, whenever you migrate the COZYROC SSIS+ Suite to a different server, be sure to check the compatibility charts. Install compatible versions of SSDT and Visual Studio before installing the SSIS+ Suite on the new server.
It is not necessary to edit, rebuild or redeploy packages created in the older version of SSIS+ unless you are upgrading from SSIS+ versions prior to 1.7 SR-2.
Note:
an intermediate upgrade is required in order to upgrade from a version of the COZYROC SSIS+ Suite older than 1.7 SR-2 to a newer version. See the KB article below in this section.
As previously mentioned, it is not possible to run multiple versions of the COZYROC SSIS+ Suite on the same server, even during an upgrade. If the COZYROC SSIS+ Suite had that capability, it would make upgrades more difficult because each package would have to be updated to indicate the version of the COZYROC SSIS+ Suite to use. Our recommendation is to thoroughly test your packages with the newer versions of the COZYROC SSIS+ Suite before upgrading your production environment.
All versions of the COZYROC SSIS+ Suite are backwards compatible, so it is not necessary to run multiple versions of SSIS+ on the same server and it will not work if you try to install multiple versions.
Uninstalling SSIS+ is easy. Using the Windows Start menu, there is an
“Uninstall”
option in the sub-menu of the COZYROC application folder.
Troubleshooting problems related to communications with online services (e.g., services that use REST, SOAP or HTTPS web requests) requires the use of external tools. We recommend the use of Fiddler for these types of problems. Instructions explaining how to use Fiddler to trace exchanges between your SSIS packages and these services can be found in the KB article below. It will also explain how to create trace files that can be provided to the COZYROC support team so that they can assist you with troubleshooting.
COZYROC support is evolving from using email for support to having a full-blown support center that includes Knowledge Base articles and a ticketing system for handling trouble tickets and questions. To use this system, go to the Support menu and select the “Help Center” option. From this page, you can search the Knowledge Base articles, ask the community a question in the forum or submit a trouble ticket.
Other options under the Support menu include the following:
The Licensing section will answer your questions such as when you need a license, how many licenses you will need, how to activate your license keys, how to renew subscriptions and more.
Tutorial videos are available showing how to use specific components and tasks as well as how to activate license keys and more.
The forum gives you a place to ask the community questions about implementations or unexpected results you’re experiencing.
We recommend that you look through the release notes when a new version of the COZYROC SSIS+ Suite becomes available. The release notes document the new features and enhancements added to SSIS+ as well as fixes to problems you may have encountered.
