Error Message: Failed to retrieve active package
Action:
When executing an SSIS package containing a COZYROC task and/or component, the following error is encountered.
Error Message:
Parallel Loop Task: Error: An error occurred with the following error message: "Failed to retrieve active package.".
Solutions:
This error can occur for the following reasons:
- An incomplete installation; during the installation the SSIS+ Library was not selected at the Customer Setup window.
To resolve this issue you need to uninstall your current version of COZYROC SSIS+ and then install the COZYROC SSIS+ suite again, you should keep all installation defaults during the installation process.
- Incompatible SQL Server Data Tools (SSDT) or recent automatic extension update.
To resolve this problem, you will need to uninstall the current version of SSDT and the COZYROC SSIS+ Suite. Afterwards, reinstall SSDT and the COZYROC SSIS+ Suite. On the Installation and Getting Started page, you will find a compatibility chart with information on what version and/or release is supported by which COZYROC SSIS+ Suite. The table is provided to help ensure proper installation and configuration of your environment, which is necessary to ensure that the COZYROC SSIS+ Suite will work in your environment.
Although SSDT is backward compatible, not every SQL Server version is supported. In order to avoid compatibility issues, install the COZYROC SSIS+ Suite recommended for the SSDT version.
- It appears as result of recent automatic extension update a change was made to SSDT , but COZYROC was not installed as last step
To resolve this issue you need to uninstall your current version of COZYROC SSIS+ and then install the COZYROC SSIS+ suite again as a last step of the installation process, you should keep all installation defaults during the installation process.
