Ultimate Subscriptions have an expiration date. If you purchase multiple subscriptions at different times, then you may be interested in being able to renew all of your subscriptions at the same time. It just makes life simpler. This is where the concept of co-terming licenses came from. It involves adjusting your subscriptions so that they all come up for renewal at the same time.
The
co-terming of licenses is a manual process. To
purchase a new subscription or subscriptions that are co-termed with your
existing subscriptions, please submit a ticket to the SSIS Plus Billing And Subscriptions department via the Help Center. Since it is a manual process, Paypal
subscriptions cannot be used. If your previous subscription was purchased with Paypal subscription, you should cancel that subscription when instructed to do so by COZYROC
staff. This will not end your current subscription immediately. It will
simply ensure that the subscription is not automatically renewed the next time the expiration date comes around.
You will
need to use the Purchase order/Invoice process to make your purchase. The COZYROC staff will ask you
for the information needed to commence this process. Because it is a manual
process, there is a $50 fee for using the Purchase order/Invoice process. The
$50 fee covers all of the subscriptions included in the invoice.
What you will be charged on the invoice
The cost of the new subscription(s) will be prorated so that they expire at the same time as your current subscriptions. The amount included on your invoice will depend on when your existing subscription(s) expire. If your existing subscriptions expire in more than 3 months, then you’ll only be charged for the new subscription(s) at this time and the amount will be prorated.
If your existing subscription(s) expire in less than 3 months, then you will be charged the prorated amount for the new subscription(s) for this year plus the annual subscription fee for all the subscriptions (new and existing) for the following year.
In either case, you will also be charged a $50 fee for using the Purchase order/Invoice process, which is mandatory for getting the co-terming set up.
Example calculations for both cases are shown in the Excel screenshot below. In both examples, the subscription price used is $479. The current date used is March 17, 2016. There are 3 existing subscriptions and a 4th subscription is being added. The only difference between the two examples is the expiration date of the existing subscriptions.
Row 2 shows the calculations for the case in which the expiration date for the existing subscriptions is more than 3 months away – August 24, 2016. The price for the new subscription is prorated for 160 days ($210) since that is the number of days between the current date (March 17, 2016) and the expiration date for existing subscriptions (August 24, 2016). The grand total for the invoice will be $260. All subscriptions will expire on August 24, 2016 and can all be renewed at that time.
Row 3 shows the calculations for the case in which the expiration date for the existing subscriptions is less than 3 months away – April 25, 2016. The price for the new subscription is prorated for 39 days ($51) since that is the number of days between the current date (March 17, 2016) and the expiration date for existing subscriptions (April 25, 2016). In addition, all subscriptions for the following year will need to be paid for at this time. That means that the renewal amount of $479 for 4 subscriptions will be added to the invoice ($1916). The grand total for the invoice would be $2017. The next time the subscriptions will expire will be April 25, 2017.
