Unable to cast COM object of type ApplicationClass to interface type IDTSApplication160
Action:
After installing Visual Studio, SSIS and CozyRoc SSIS+ I am not able to create or open SSIS my SSIS projects. When I uninstall CozyRoc SSIS+, then Visual Studio and SSIS appear to be working as expected (minus the CozyRoc connectors and tasks).
Error Message:
Unable to cast COM object of type 'Microsoft.SqlServer.Dts.Runtime.Wrapper.ApplicationClass' to interface type 'Microsoft.SqlServer.Dts.Runtime.Wrapper.IDTSApplication160'. This operation failed because the QueryInterface call on the COM component for the interface with IID '{037FE238-12C5-4313-AE13-9E116E90ACEA}' failed due to the following error: No such interface supported (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80004002 (E_NOINTERFACE)). (Microsoft.SqlServer.ManagedDTS)
Solutions:
Microsoft implemented some sort of breaking change. As a result, COZYROC implemented a fix for this error message in version 2.0.100.1903.
