Microsoft Graph OAuth Token Wizard Stuck on "Need Admin Approval"

When generating an OAuth access token for Microsoft Graph using the COZYROC OAuth Token Wizard, the authentication process stops at the "Need admin approval" page, preventing the token from being generated.

Resolution

  1. Open the COZYROC OAuth Token Wizard.

  2. Leave the Prompt field blank.

  3. Retry the authentication process.

In many cases, leaving the Prompt field blank allows Microsoft Entra ID to use the default authentication flow, and the OAuth token is generated successfully.

Additional Checks

If the issue persists:

  • Verify that the required Microsoft Graph API scopes are configured correctly.

  • Confirm that the Azure App Registration permissions are set up properly.

  • Ensure that admin consent has been granted for any permissions that require it.
