I want to use your EDI Source component. Where can I get the XML configuration file for the specific format I want to process?

This article pertains to the EDI Source, EDI Destination and EDI Connection.

Unless you are using the 852 format, you will need to create a configuration file for the EDI format you want to process. We have posted a sample configuration file for the 852 format on the "Samples" section on the EDI Source documentation tab in the EDI Documentation. You can use this sample file as a reference to create your own configuration file for the specific EDI configuration you are wanting to use.   These sample files go along with the demonstration video which is also on the EDI Source tab and shows how to use the configuration in an SSIS data flow.

If you don't have the resources to create the configuration file, we can offer consulting services to create the configuration file for you. If you are interested in having COZYROC create the configuration file, please open a ticket to Technical Support from our Help Center requesting an estimate.

In order to provide you with an estimate, we will need a copy of the specification file of the EDI format you want to process. We will review the specification and provide an estimate of the cost to create the configuration file. The estimate is free of charge and non-binding.

The specification file is a human readable description of each and every element in the format. It also contains a description of the format layout and hierarchy. The specification is usually distributed as a PDF file.
