While uploading a higher number of records to a REST Destination component within a Data Flow Task, the following error message is received.
“fixed queue overflow”.
This error is related to the value established in the Data Flow Task parameter called DefaultBufferMaxRows. The defaulted value is 10,000. Because the data flow can connect to different services that have different batch processing and processing speeds, the value of the DefaultBufferMaxRows may need to be adjust lower or maybe even higher depending on the service that is being connected to in the data flow. When the DefaultBufferMaxRows is set too high, you may encounter this error by design as a timer is set that confines the processing time allowed for the buffered rows rather than allow the alternative which could be a package that runs for long periods of times to process the rows.
The solution if you receive this error is to try starting with a value of 1000 (rather than 10,000) and gradually decrement by 100 until the error message is no longer received.
